Tendonitis

This inflammatory problem typically stems from overuse or repetitive actions.  A thorough history of the cause is gathered and treatment is initiated.  Physical therapy can include use of ice, ultrasound and rehabilitation of the involved muscles once the inflammation subsides. Strengthening exercises are important in order to rebuild weakened muscles so that they can withstand the stresses required for activity, work, lifting and recreation.
